This wonderful bottling from Hibiki is a blend of 17 year old whiskies from Yamazaki, Hakushu and Chita Grain distillery. It contains influences of bourbon, sherry and Mizunara casks, taking on a lovely sweetness, fruitiness and a dash of spice.
Initially released in 1989, the blend is matured in Japanese mizunara oak casks at Yamazaki (I've totally been there!). Hibiki means harmony, which has certainly been achieved in this wonderful and iconic blend.
